About the Artists . . .
Joining musical forces in 2000 Christopher Prewitt and Lesley Lishman have both been performing for over three decades.
Christopher has a degree in music from Baylor University, and
has performed on both sides of the Atlantic . . . from rock & roll to operas
and musical comedy. He has received numerous awards for solo and ensemble vocal
performance. He has composed over seventy songs of various genres, but he considers
himself primarily a folk musician. For info on his debut
CD Future Man, which is NOW AVAILABLE - PLEASE VISIT THE
MUSIC PAGE for more on the CD!!!
Lesley , a self-proclaimed "graduate of the School of Life" is self
taught. Born in Lubbock, Texas, Lesley moved to the Hill Country in 1988 to
focus on her songwriting. Her debut project, Levity, was released in
1993. Still selling today, Levity will be re-released on CD as a third-party
fundraiser for the SIMS Foundation of Austin, Texas, in 2008, featuring three
new tunes , one of which won an honorable mention in the 2001 John Lennon
Songwriting Contest. She has been an opening act at Greune Hall for "Texas
Summer Nights" several years, "Sang for her supper" with the
late Champ Hood at Threadgills in Austin (he was also on two tracks of Levity
-- the fundraiser donations will be made in his memory). She performed live
on KFAN (Texas Rebel Radio), from New Cannan Farms and with Doc Toler's KNBT
radio show broadcast from the Stage Stop. She has been a songwriter showcased
at the Saxon Pub, and the Elephant Room, with Fingerprints of Dallas. Her band,
Acoustica has performed in and around the Hill Country since 1995.
As a duo, Chris and Lesley's sound is a vocal harmonic dream with 2 acoustic guitars leading the way through the clouds. Their first CD project together, including Scott Wade as TRIO RIO, has been released as of July 2006 by Rocketship Tricycle Records.
Press
TRIO RIO has hit the airwaves on Canadian Public Radio during an interview with Scott Wade on his DUST ART and left them begging for more . . .

Show Feedback
"Lishman & Prewitt were
the absolute highlight of our "New Braunfels Live" show here at the
New Braunfels Museum of Art & Music on October 7th. What a great performance!
What great talent! What great folks!"
- Al Barlow
"Lishman & Prewitt sounded great! Lesley, I think your voice has matured a lot since I heard you last, you seemed relaxed and able to control the subtleties of your voice in a predictable and artistic fashion, and let me quickly add . . .in an artistic and creative manner. Great harmonies! There is just not enough of harmony these days. I loved your harmonies. Very strong and beautiful. What I heard at the museum was awesome! I'm very happy for you and Chris to have found each other and to be making beautiful music together. Also, I'm so impressed with Future Man, The CD. Chris is one talented hombre. I've enjoyed listening to the melodies, rhythms, grooves, and lyrics. Great voice, too. What can I say? Mucho Talento!
- Seth Worley

- Robin Wood, San Marcos Public Library
"I can't tell you how much Blanco enjoyed having you at the Chamber of Commerce Banquet along with our favorite weatherman, Bill Taylor of KENS 5, San Antonio. The music you shared with us was delightful and skillfully delivered. Your genuine love of your art is oh so evident. I hope you have a sense of how deeply we appreciated your being such an important part of our special event. We did in fact raise enough money to fund our scholarship!"
- Wanette Easterly, Greater Blanco Chamber of Commerce
